About The Event

Your physical body, your emotional self, and your thinking self are all functioning continuously and simultaneously. What affects one affects the other. All of the lessons you will ever learn, through any level of consciousness, depend upon your body. Your physical body is the means through which all of the basic emotions (which provide motivation for growth and behavior) are transmitted, generated, recorded, and replayed. By bringing awareness to the ways in which our minds and bodies continually affect one another, we open to the door to endless learning, choice, and freedom in our lives. Learn how to cultivate embodied health in this interactive workshop.

Participants will learn/experience the connection between their mind and their body, first through education about the different pathways through which we experience our surroundings, and then through led activities that may involve gentle movement combined with mindfulness.

Mind Body medicine can benefit everyone! It offers an approach to healing that helps us uncover the root our of health issues that manifest in the body and mind so we can heal the root instead of covering up symptoms.

The more we learn about ourselves, the more we are able to take care of ourselves. This workshop will benefit anyone interested in taking an active role in their wellness and happiness. Participants will walk away with a deeper knowledge of themselves and their ability to take an active and conscious role in their own inner healing.

Format: Lecture and experiential learning which will involve work with posture and mindfulness

Cost: $35 preregistered, $40 door
